MADISON, Wisc. — Ohio State football took a 10-3 lead to halftime over Wisconsin, but the Badgers saw their best offensive threat go down with an apparent injury just before the break.
Third-year running back Braelon Allen had to be helped to the locker room after suffering an apparent lower-leg injury on the last offensive play of the first half. Allen took a shovel pass from quarterback Braeden Locke on third-and-goal at the 1 and was stopped for no gain.
Allen had to be helped off the field, and Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell opted to kick a 19-yard field goal on the final play of the half.
Wisconsin announced that Allen was unlikely to return with a left leg injury.

Allen had carried 10 times for 50 yards before the injury. He had rushed for 100 or more yards in four of seven games this season while averaging 5.9 yards per carry. He also has 24 receptions this season.
Jackson Acker replaced him in the backfield. Without Allen, Wisconsin opened the second half with a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to tie the game at 10.
