FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Thursday afternoon!
Skies have dried out across Central Ohio for Thursday, but the clouds haven’t gone anywhere. Temperatures will begin to warm as we go into the end of the week. Just in time for the weekend, rain chances will begin to rise.
A little bit of sunshine will creep in towards the end of today. Temperatures will be slightly warmer in the mid to lower 50s by the afternoon. Overnight, clouds will remain steady as temperatures fall into the mid 40s.
Our next system arrives later on Friday as a cold front swings through the region. A few showers will move in Friday afternoon with even more rain arriving by Friday evening and into the night. Temperatures will be even warmer on Friday in the lower 60s.
Saturday doesn’t see any relief from the rain. We’re looking at on and off chances for showers throughout the day on Saturday. Steadier chances for rain build in by the evening and overnight hours. We’re gradually cooling through the 50s and 40s to end off the weekend.
Saturday night into Sunday morning, temperatures will fall close to freezing. Lingering wet weather into Sunday morning has the potential to fall as a wintry mix or some wet snow. The rest of Sunday will clear up with some sunshine by the end of the day.
A longer stretch of clear weather moves in for the first half of next week. That will help temperatures bump up to the lower 50s on Monday to the mid 60s by the middle of the week.
