CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Museum of Art will welcome the award-winning artful sounds of composer, pianist, and singer-songwriter Jon Batiste to the Gartner Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 25. Tickets for the concert, confidently dubbed “An Evening of Genius Music Composition and Instrumental Virtuosity with Jon Batiste,” start at $75 and go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31 at clevelandart.org.

Batiste’s current “Uneasy Tour” is selling out theatres across the country, making him one of the hottest and most coveted tickets on the road. But the “intimate” CMA show will be particularly special because it will also be a live recording.

Batiste, the former bandleader of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” makes music that is as eclectic as the food of his native New Orleans. Batiste has been critically hailed and has received numerous awards, including album of the year at the 2021 Grammys for his sixth album, “We Are,” along with four other Grammys that evening.

Batiste’s most recent album, “World Music Radio,” features a wide range of guests, including Lil’ Wayne, Lana del Ray, and Kenny G, and earned him four more Grammy nominations.

Basiste also has won an Oscar for his work on the score of the 2020 animated film “Soul” alongside Trent Reznor and Atticus Finch. Batiste is nominated for another Oscar this year for the original song “It Never Went Away,” co-written with Dan Wilson of Semisonic from the Netflix documentary “American Symphony,” about Batiste and his wife, New York Times columnist and best-selling author and Emmy-winning writer Suleika Jaouad, as she battles cancer.
