COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One of the most popular summer camp programs is set to begin registration for the 2024 summer season.
Columbus Recreation and Parks Department has announced sign-ups for its outdoor recreation camps, community center and specialty camps, as well as its therapeutic recreation camps. The camps run from June 10-Aug. 2 and youth ages 6-12 can attend for one week or the full summer.
Columbus summer camps registration details:
Outdoor Recreation Camps:
Includes canoeing, creeking, fishing and building forts. Each week will have a unique theme structured around classic camp activities.
• Online: Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, Columbus residents: noon, General public: 7 p.m.
• In-person: Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, 7-7:45 p.m., Wyandot Lodge (3228 Indian Village Road)
Community Center and Specialty Camps:
Camp categories include community center camps, sports camps, arts camps and specialty camps.
• Online: Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, Columbus residents: noon, General public: 7 p.m.
• In-person: Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, 7-7:45 p.m., your local community center
Therapeutic Recreation Camps:
These are inclusive camps designed for youth with and without disabilities.
• Online: Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, Columbus residents: noon, General public: 7 p.m.
• In-person: Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, 3-7 p.m., Franklin Park Adventure Center (1755 E. Broad St.)
